It cuts really well – I’ve had no irritation even though it shaves very closely and I don’t have to go over the same area again and again because this electric razor usually cuts all the hair away in one go. The Philishave HQ8150 Speed-XL is a really good electric razor, I’m really pleased I bought it. Works for me because I don’t have to shave the same area over and over – means my shaving routine in the mornings last only a few minutes! I always used a wet razor and didn’t even consider an electric razor until my wife bought the Philishave HQ8150 for me as a Christmas present. Would never go back to wet shaving now – an electric razor is very handy (sometimes I use it in the car on the way to work if I’m running late!) and it shaves really quickly – even though my facial hair grows quite thick. Philishave is the only electric razor I’ve used, but I can’t imagine another make being as good as this.
